A Kid-Approved Safety Vest with CAA

September 8, 2026

Fashion Exchange was proud to contribute to a collaborative research project with CAA Club Group focused on improving the CAA School Safety Patrol vest for young volunteers.

Building on previous research, the team used feedback from students and fitting sessions to refine the vest’s fit, comfort, adjustability and affordability, while optimizing the design for large-scale production. Student Patrollers from three schools also participated in an in-person fitting session, providing valuable feedback that helped inform the final design.

The result is a focus-tested, fully costed and production-ready design created with the needs of young School Safety Patrollers in mind—demonstrating how applied research, design and industry collaboration can create meaningful real-world impact.
